This column in the The Economist has a new take on the acronym WTF: “weighted total futility.” This is a “lifetime estimate of time that could have been better spent.”

The author does not put meetings in this category automatically, stating that they are not always futile. Yet, most meeting attendees probably have at least one WTF moment every day.
